Benefits of ATSF Training
Why should I train? What's in it for me? What skills do I develop?
1 You'll receive a CPD (Continuing Professional Development) certificate on successful completion of the one day classroom course or the e-learning modules. CPD demonstrates your commitment to updating your skills for yourself, your employers and for prospective employers.
Updating skills and proving your achievement is becoming more prevalent in every professional area. The certificate shows the number of hours you have completed and the core content areas covered for iMedia Project Management.
2 The specific gains in skills and knowledge from the courses are found under the heading 'performance improvements' in the course brochure. Please see the ATSF one day course brochure. These performance improvements – also known as learning outcomes – are the formal definition of expected changes in behaviour that you should display at the end of the course. These are useful for your company's internal assessment procedures and concern your level of skills' proficiency.
3 On successful completion of the classroom course or e-learning modules you'll be invited to join the iProfessionals online group. This is an informal community of like-minded professionals from the iMedia sector. There's a relevant topic about Project Management raised each week based on the content covered in the course and our book: Managing Interactive Media.
You can also ask any queries of the group whenever you like as well as contribute to the discussion. This continues to update your skills and knowledge.
4 You'll develop management skills as well as iMedia skills. Project Management is seen as a general business and management skill set with its relevance applied by us to the iMedia sector. Because of this, we have started to map the areas covered on the course to the National Occupational Management Standards of the Management Standards Centre. This is embryonic.
The skills covered range from general to senior management levels. This fits the demands of project management as the team leader needs to operate strategically as well as operationally. If you'd like to receive a copy of the mapping so far, please contact elaine@atsf.co.uk and request the document.
