Infrared Photograph: Cloisters

Cloisters at Évora Cathedral

In the middle ages, Évora was the capital of Portugal and it is still a fine and compact city today. The Cathedral dates from the 12th and 13th Centuries and the gothic cloisters were built between 1322 and 1340. From the south-west corner, where this photo was taken, we look up towards the Romanesque belfry.
