Nolo	An all-round resource for all aspects of US law
US Copyright office	The US Copyright office has various documents on its website including one on basics of US copyright law and a summary of the DCMA.
UK Intellectual Property	Many aspects of UK Intellectual Property law are outlined on this UK govt site.
UK Information Commissioner	The UK Data Protection Commissioner is now the Information Commissioner. Includes freedom of information as well as data protection issues.
Safe Harbour	Under European legislation, data can only be transferred to 'safe harbours' in the USA. This site from the US Department of Commerce explains how they work. The list of companies who are so certified can be viewed here as well.
